Raymond E. Carpenter, DDS, Prosthodontist

Dr. Carpenter has successfully practiced dentistry since 1976. He received his specialty certificate in 1986. After growing up in Southern California, Dr. Carpenter received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He went on to receive a dental degree (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, as a recipient of a U.S. Army Health Profession Scholarship. Following eight years of practice as a general dentist, Dr. Carpenter completed a post-graduate residency in Prosthodontics at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Carpenter has served on the faculty of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and has been an instructor of both Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at UCSF. He is currently on the faculty of the prestigious Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in Tarzana, California. He is an active member of the following organizations: American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantologists, Academy of Osseointegration, San Diego County Dental Society, American Dental Association. He is also a member and past president of the San Diego Prosthodontic Society, and a Crown Council dentist.


Jan

You will find Jan chair side, as one of our experienced and fun-loving hygienists. Jan has been with our office for over fifteen years. She attended Northwestern University and has three wonderful children. Her warm nature and exquisite care have kept patients coming back year after year for her care. Each year she volunteers for the Global Dental Relief program and Thousand Smiles, traveling internationally, and is very involved in the Welcome Home Ministry program that helps give back to the community through dentistry.


Varsovia

You will find Varsovia chair side assisting Dr. Ray in many procedures completed here at our dental practice. She is trained in all of the technology our office has to offer and has been in the dental industry for 20 years. Varsovia is wonderfully gentle with a lovely personality that puts patients at ease in the dental chair. She realizes the importance of continuing education for the advancement of technology in the dental field and looks forward to seeing you at each visit! Varsovia is bilingual and experienced with all of the varied tasks required with different types of procedures.


Shana

You will find Shana assisting in both the front office and chair side with our wonderful patients. Shana has grown up in San Diego and is a certified Dental Assistant. She loves what she does! Shana also enjoys going to pilates classes and paddleboarding
